My first park run today and also the first time I've run the full 5k despite finishing c25k several weeks ago. Also involved stopping to do my daughters shoe laces up! She was on her scooter
First parkrun: My first park run today and also... - Couch to 5K
First parkrun
I graduated 12 weeks ago and still find 5k is a decent distance with a lot of challenges, so well done and super speedy time too - awesome. I found once I knew I could keep running to 5k, I introduced the distance into my weekly plan and was soon running 3 X 5k a week. Took me many, many weeks though to feel I could do it reasonably comfortably. See how u recover from it, there is no rush when u do 5k in your own time either, so you can make it more enjoyable. It says 4.9km because I couldn't turn my Garmin on for the first 100m!
Well done. That's a great time for a first parkrun (and a first 5K too - fantastic !!! ).
Will you be back for parkrun number 2 again soon?
Did you enjoy it?? Sounds like a great achievement.
Fantastic time, and well done on your first Parkrun.
