Just a quickie to share my happiness :)

Ran in the Mo Farrah Foundation QE Olympic Park 10k today on my newly healed achilles. It was a good run, and my 10k time was 57:57 with a 5K split of 29:59. 317 of a field of 760.

Nice one Steve!

A sub 60 minute 10K? Wow!

Seems like you've recovered from your injury big time!

I can only stand back in awe as you go onwards and upwards.

I squeezed under 60 minutes at a race in September (59:25) and was hoping to do it again, but I'm shocked to go sub 58!

Well done Steve. Congratulations. So glad your heel was ok and withstood the rigours. You have no idea when you set off do you whether it will or not, and I don't know about you but I was quite fearful today. You can make yourself go daft with worry so best just do it and see how it pans out. We had been free wheeling for a fair while though ey.

You got a medal!!!!!! Very swanky it is too! So jealous. Hmfff!

Thanks, AM. Yes, I'm still aglow. Couldn't believe it as I got inside the last K and saw my pace/time - spent ages doing mental calculations working out what time I might get!
