A guy on my Parkrun wears them and swears by them, he says they help with his bad back. I swear by them as well! WTF!

seriously though, I believe I've seen a review recently that rated the trail one's highly, can't remember who did the review at the moment, I'll come back if I find it, maybe it was mother care lol

Yes, there's a short report/recommendation in Jan 2016 men's running mag, with some other wacky winter shoes.

They're called Vibram five fingers trek ascent, and @ £124 they're not for me,but they have been given a best overall score of 8/10.

I do wear Injinji socks which have separate toe compartments and are brilliant for really long runs - stop friction and damp between the toes thus curing problems of blistering etc. I used to return with shoes full of blood every time I ran over 20 miles but the Injinjis have completely resolved that.

These however... just no. The thin end of a wedge which leads quickly down a slippery slope and before you know it youare driving a Prius and wake up in the morning and discover you have turned into Gwyneth Paltrow.

On a slightly related topic, Laura's C25k music selection is now officially not the worst music in the world ever, as Coldplay have released a new album.

Actually there is a Dethklok song entitled "Briefcase full of Guts", which might be more up Coldplay's err, alley, seeing as they define a term from The Inbetweeners that is not suitable for me to repeat here.
