I'm still here....

Thought I'd let u know I'm still here! I haven't posted for a while but haven't given up! Although i found w 3 initially easily 'do-able', I haven't been able to progress to w4 - yet. Being very careful about overdoing it, as i am finding my energy level low at the moment, so plan to do another w3 before progressing.

Hi there

Is there any reason for your low energy levels? If there is then you need to address it as you need to be fit for this running lark. Good eats and proper hydration will certainly help matters and it's something you need to get right. Plenty of sleep too!

The plan is progressive so you should be able to move up week by week. I know some folks struggle with this and take longer but it could be that if your energy levels are low you just can't manage it. I'd be looking at the reasons behind that

Good luck. I hope you can sort it out

Hi. Thanks for your comments. Yes I find I have to pace myself a bit sometimes, esp when more active in othe ways (eg im decorating a bedroom at the mo). I'm doing c25k in the hope of getting fitter and having more stamina, as well as reducing stress. I'm about a stone overweight. I really don't want to give it up.

I'm supposed to be decorating the dining room but I keep sneaking off to the garden instead. Well, while it's nice it seems daft to be cooped up indoors

C25k will help you get fitter and lose weight providing you are eating/drinking sensibly. Your stamina will increase as you work through the sessions. Go slowly mind and build up carefully. It does help stress. My physio confirmed that this morning. He mentioned endorphins!

I've lost a load of weight and feel miles better than I ever did, apart from my injured leg, but that's my fault for being too impetuous! Oops! So, go very steadily. Slow is good. Also you will have more puff to complete each session

Good to hear you're still here and keeping at it.

I have found that I am building up stamina (gradually) - I have , ahem, a bit more weight (quite a bit more) than you to loose, but running and dieting are helping... hope you're finding that too

Thanks and well done. I lost a pound or two then plateaued but I am not really dieting - just healthy eating (with a treat now and then!). Keep at it.
