Yay! Chocolate milk is the food of the gods and I shall now drink it after every run!

(Suspect this may not really be the answer, as I am having my diabetic bloods done in a fortnight...shame.)

Interesting Hussain. There is certainly something in it. My 5K run today was easy for me. I could have gone further. Last July I could do 6K also easy BUT Last week and the week before I was really struggling to do 3. I could not understand why. So food must probably have an impact. I will have to work it out.

Great info! Can't see anything about Guinness though! Ha, interesting about the drinks, have bookmarked it. Thanks

yes, disappointingly I noticed there was no mention of Guinness.

I shall have a good read of that. I am obsessed with healthy eating. For me it starts with the fuel we choose

PFW You don't need any extra food or drink while you're on C25k. You don't need extra food til you're running beyond 10k. If you eat extra now you'll put on weight. Supermarket choc milk will have quite a few additives and sugars I suspect, and I don't think it can be classed as in any way healthy. Ordinary milk with cocoa in it would be a better choice and is super quick to whizz up

yes and throw the sports drinks down the drain, they are a gimmick.
