Depends on how good the GPS signal is in your area, I used Runkeeper and it worked ok along side C25K, but my phone didn't always find GPS so didn't always work for me.

Good question, look forward to hearing from people. I have Map My Ride that can be used for cycling or walking/running. Just on week 6 so planning to try it on Friday with my 25 minute run as I am wondering how far and fast I am going. Would be good to know so we can work towards covering 5K and maybe Parkrun in the future!

Julie 😀

Thanks x I've just downloaded Strava but there was so many to choose from and I wasnt sure if you could play 2 together

When I was out this morning I was wondering how far I'd gone and how fast (lol - slow).

I'm going back out on Wednesday so will keep you posted x

endomomdo is slightly better than runkeeper at keeping gps signal.

Depends what phone you use. Endomondo worked fine for me on Android, but not my new Windows phone. Downloaded Adidas and much prefer that now and Jessica Ennis welcomes me each run... ;-)

I have an Iphone 6 - so can I play C5K app, playlist and running app at the same time, sorry I don't mean to sound stupid x

in reply toJennieHolden

You don't sound stupid at all don't worry :-), it's all trial and error! I don't use the app any more, as I had issues with it freezing early on and switched to the podcasts. I play the podcast and tracker at the same time with no probs. The tracker takes over to announce your distance each km and then the podcast comes back on.

I tried using Runkeeper, the C25k app and my own music all at the same time (also iPhone). No problem, until both Runkeeper and the C25k app wanted to talk at the same time, causing both of the apps to crash. I found using Runkeeper more helpful than using the C25k app, so I then set up the various C25k timings as interval runs in Runkeeper and carried on from there.

I use an iPhone 4 and last week I had endemondo and strava and c25k running at the same time as I've heard that trackers are not very reliable they all worked fine and both trackers gave the same reading so the answer to your question is yes you can run them both together happy running x

When I eventually get to running a 5K, I intend to use my Fitbit Surge. Fingers crossed I will get there in 9 weeks.
