Today, I run my third Run of week8 and the great happy feeling is still there,. The shin splint seems gone. I had a gait analysis and new shoes bought and helps a lot I think.
I can't wait till next week to run for 30 minutes for three days
At W8R3. 5.08km is not bad I think.

I've done a Parkrun, but I need about 36 minutes to complete one of those. I'll be there tomorrow, too, and keen to see how far I can keep running, and how long it takes me to run and walk 5 km now I'm 2 weeks fitter.
When I started it took me 38 minutes to complete with a feeling like defeated! I didn't like that feeling...
I used to think that running is something impossible for me. But gradually I start to enjoy it, It is all about the mental training as well as physical training. The C25K teaches me 'I can Do It' feeling
and running slowly 'the patience' I used to try running by hard.
I didn't feel at all defeated. I was actually quite pleased with the time. When I did it, I estimated that I'd finish somewhere North of 40 minutes, so it went really well. But I suppose that's all relative. If you've been going fast, going slow feels like a defeat; if you've been going very slow, going just plain slow feels like a success.
The only caveat I see here is that it's important to keep all the extrinsic motivators as damped down as possible, so that they don't come and usurp the royal throne of The Joy. If one lets time-chasing creep up on one, that's risking losing treasure for the sake of dung, if the rot gets too close to the core. The very best reason to do this is for its own sake, not even for health's sake.
