Morning all. As I type this post I can proudly say that I now have week 9 run 1 under my belt and completed this before the local park run starts! I was dithering about whether to do park run but I still don't feel I am ready - looking at the results the person who came last is at a similar time to me, but I don't fancy being last, and there are only about a hundred runners. Nahhhh so since I woke up early, I decided to head out the door and do my run near me in a local country park. I am glad I did cos it meant I completed week 9 run 1 and I now have two more runs until I graduate!
Now, this is a 9 week programme but this is my 16th week (missed a few weeks due to illness from my kids or myself - after a bout of migraines and illnesses, I have been diagnosed with IBS - how nice?! At least now this explains why I haven't felt very well. I have changed my eating and eliminated some food from my eating, I am a lot better), but on the whole I am so proud how far I have come. I am still very overweight and still have a long way to go, but I have toned up a lot, my bloatiness is going down (cos of the diagnosis and change in diet), I am much fitter, my pace is picking up although still slow - when I first started I was at about 16 min mile, now today for the first time, I am below 13 min mile! At my peak I was at 10-11 min mile when I did the London marathon years ago.
Having now completed 30 min running without stopping I now look forward to the final two runs and rewarding myself with a gps watch.....! I have entered a half marathon in Oct and believe I can get to the end, I will get there!!! I sight my sights upon the goal....... 😎😊
