Iv just completed week6 run 1 after I did 20 mins of continuous running on my last one I entered today with confidence! Only to find that it was quite difficult, I found my chest was heavy and I didn't seem to have the stamina that I had last week? Anyone else found this or has advice?

Many, many people (including myself) struggle with week 6. Really not sure why but my only real explanation/theory is that you are at the stage where the walking breaks interrupt your running rhythm.

I think thats a really common thing, I certainly have read that often on here! It definatly happened to me too! I don't know the logic, but don't let it worry you too much, onwards and upwards, ! And well done 😊

Hi, I just did W6R1 Managed it but not as easy as I thought after the high of completing the 20 minutes last week. but we did it! Maybe run 2 will surprise you and you will storm it. I think our bodies are adjusting with each run and must be getting fitter. Good luck with the next one

Your right, we did it! Hopefully the next one will be a bit more comfortable and we can get back in our stride!

Make sure you're not running too fast. The confidence gained from W5R3 might mean you're setting off faster than you used to. Three things to remember: slow down, slow down and, well , you get the picture.

John says it above. Slow down. After week 5 we think it's a walk in the park. It isn't, but it's largely all in the mind. You can physically do it, but you just have to think you can do it. Keep it slow and then it's only the mind games you have to deal with (and if you know it's just mind games, you can overcome that).
