So Week 3 Run 2 and I enjoyed it, I felt better and not so out of breath, first run that although was still challenging wasn't a complete struggle!!! I think now is the time to treat myself to new running shoes!!!! Sports Direct here I come! Feel really chuffed even though its just week 3!!!!

Hi Butterfly, that's great and good to see that positive attitude. New shoes will help as a motivator too!

I got mine from an independent sports shop and they really take time with the fitting. It does work out more expensive though :-( .

Make sure they are not tight around your toes and treat yourself to some running socks too! Comfy feet make running so much easier and pain free.

I agree with OG, getting them fitted is a good idea, but it does tend to up the price! The thing to remember is that you will need to have a larger shoe than normal (more gap between the toes and the end of the shoe). When you get onto the longer runs, your feet will swell (unavoidable!) and if you get the size shoes you normally wear you may well find your toes are hitting the end and going numb/hurting and you don't want that.
