Asics plans
I haven't used one but I am sure there are quite a few who have ,they will be along soon for sure
I was in the middle of using it for a half marathon I'm gonna do in October. But then I got struck down with the worst chest infection I've ever had, so have had to put it to one side for the time being. I DID find it very good though and will return to it once I'm fit again. My only tiny bugbear with it is that it doesn't really factor in any hills - it kind of assumes you'll always be on the flat (at least it does to me). So when you're training, go up a few hills now and again just to tell the body you're not a wuss and all will be well!
Gut lucken!
In using one for the 10k at the moment. I find the recommended speeds very slow but the race pace a lot faster! I run at my win speed anyway lol and just tick off The distances and runs, I love it!
I love em! Following one now as it happens. 10 k one. I think this is my third 10 k plan. I've followed a half marathon, a 10 mile and a 5k. I've never bettered my 5k race time since last August and it was the plan which got me there
I've been following one for a 10k in May. I haven't followed it religiously, other than distances. The pace they suggest for 'easy jog' is slower than I walk! Also, they don't seem to fit if you just want to get round, as opposed to having a target time. I'm injured at the moment though so have missed my last 7 days worth of runs.
I'm using one to improve my speed for a 10K race in May. I love ticking off the runs as I do them and find this motivational but must admit I'm not enjoying the fast paced runs I'm currently doing. I much prefer slower, longer runs. The proof is in the pudding so time will tell if this plan will give me my race time!
I will let you know in 2weeks. I have used it for my first HM. I like the structure and I work well with ticking runs off. I like the stats it keeps. I feel ready for the HM if that is anything to go on. I like the fact it can be tweaked to fit in with how you train.
I downloaded a plan but never used it. It was too regimented for me. It meant trying to organise your life around runs rather than running when it is convenient to you. It also meant running hard when you weren't up for it and vice versa. I'm sure the plan will help and if it can keep you motivated then it has to be good.
