Bumbags are cool

I graduated a few weeks (months!) ago but had been struggling to carry phone and iPod now I'm wearing cooler clothes without pockets, and had got one of the arm band things which I really didn't enjoy (felt I was all wonky and it either slid down, or made my arm numb) and I felt it was really distracting me from just zoning out. Anyway, I finally bit the bullet and bought a sort of runner's bumbag - despite the high level of coolness - and I went for my first run with it yesterday and I'm delighted. Did the full 5k, no distractions, and I could even get out my phone mid run to take a pic of the sunset. All in all, v pleased with it - would recommend to anyone struggling with how to carry things now there are fewer jackets needed!

Glad that it worked out for you. I would suspect that being of the fairier sex is helping out. I've never tried on a waistpack that didn't slide down my hips.

Cycling tops is another great solution. They usually have three back pockets that can fit all sorts of things (small water bottles, phone, energy etc). I have my eyes on a very bright yellow top, I will drop some hints to DW that I want one for graduation.

Any picture? What make? I was given an armband thing for my birthday from my son and its fantastic - just for my ipod. I've never heard another person say they are any good - always too /big/uncomfy etc. Mine is brilliant 'tho - my son is the type to research things ad nauseum and he obviously made a good choice. Wondering about something bigger 'tho now for 'phone and water bottle maybe.

sounds great - where did you get it from? I'm looking for something like a bumbag.

Hi Mancs, thanks for your reply. I got one from decathlon in Bolton £6, does the job but it is only for my phone.

This is the one I got - it's fine for keys, phone, ipod etc, but you might struggle with a waterbottle amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00... - and yes fredl, I had to have it tight around my waist so it didn't jump about.

Ooh that's exactly the same as my running belt too except that where yours is yellow mine is pink! Works really well for me.

I bought one from sports direct which fits phone, keys and 2 small water bottles so you are balanced. But I prefer arm band for iPod, key in zip up pocket on back of running tights and a small water bottle with hole in it which I hold while I run. But I might try the belt agsin as wasn't used to running then.
