Hello,
Feeling a bit frustrated! Tried my 40 minute run yesterday and couldn't bear more than 10 at a time due to the heat. Tried again today (stubborn) but after drinking more and eating and still couldn't hack it!
Any tips, or am I stuck!?

You'll either get used to it or you won't .... perhaps you should try early morning or evening when it's cooler? I think that's what most people do during the summer months.
I think I'll have to. Is it a problem others have then?
I started on 3 June last year, and it was a glorious summer, so every day was a hot day pretty much. I didn't know any different! I was so sweaty and beetroot-faced I'm surprised people didn't call 999 when they saw me approaching, and I used to run early mornings to avoid the doggies and being seen by anyone who knew me!
The winter was harder on my legs though - some freezing mornings it felt as though I was getting frostbite in my thighs, until I discovered Aldi skiing underleggings.
The early mornings in the summer are magical. If you are a lark rather than an owl it is an amazing feeling to be out there with the dawn chorus and the rabbits, but without the BMW drivers and the dogs!!
Each season seems to bring its own challenges and we all moan like crazy people! You're not stuck but need to adapt and get used to it.
With a name like littlepolarbear you are bound to find it hard in the heat!😉
Wear a hat with a brim. Slow down more. Less clothing. Running in the heat is hard but you do adjust a little.
I am absolutely a summer person. I love the sun and the heat - except when I am running. Then I prefer it to be cold. The only way I can run in the summer months is to go out ridiculously early, and get it out of the way!

I am so glad someone has already put on a post for today! I struggled yesterday with my 5k run which I planned to do post-work at 6pm. The first part of my run was heading towards the sun - I couldn't see very well, and my face started glowing red even faster from the heat on my face. I ended up cutting my run short to just over 3k and I really struggle with heat/direct sun. It made me decide that morning runs are for me when its nice and chilly still. I enjoyed my winter evening runs in the dark cool evenings. Will be investing in a sunhat too for any sunny runs!
Went early evening today, much better! Realised I needed to slow down as well, new route so I think I was taking it far too fast and losing steam. Only problem now is so many dogs out in the sun! Had an encounter with one jumping up at me today thinking I was running past to play with it. Grrrr
