Hi, still going, although I have missed one run this week. I took map my run with me and travelled 2.4 miles in 40mins! 1mile =14 mins that's awful isn't it?

Hi I am glad you are still going. That distance is not awful at all! firstly you are out there and faster than you would be staying at home, next speed isn't the point right now, finally you are way faster than me!!

Doesn't matter what speed you go. Just do the runs (you know what I mean ...) and speed will come with time (or not in my case!!).

hi ollie , well done on your run, really dont worry about how fast or distance , we all start slowly :) as long as you are running at pace that means you complete the timed runs . That is all you need to think about at this stage .

each week will build you for the next as you progress , graduation is about running for 30mins 3 times , if you cover 5k great if not doesnt matter :) it is just about doing those timed runs :D keep at it you doing great

No it's not awful. It's awesome! Time and distance are immaterial. You will learn that as you progress slowly through the runs. Slow is the way to go it really is

Also, the slower you go, the longer you are out running and the more calories you will burn. So, if you want to drop some weight you will soon find your pants getting looser

It's all fantastic news, so stick at it and DON'T MISS ANY MORE RUNS. Stick with the programme, listen to Laura and she'll get you round

Definitely not awful! You're doing what you should and travelling nice and slow and steady. Speed and distance will come in time as your body becomes fitter and you have more stamina. Trust in Laura and you will no doubt astound yourself as I think most of us have :) Happy running :)

Honestly you shouldn't be worrying about your distance on W2. Just get the runs under your belt at this stage and you can speed up/go further when your body has properly learnt how to do this running thing. Trying to push to hard now, at the beginning, is a recipe for disaster. Keep going (but not too fast !) Good luck !

That's great you're still out there running especially with this weather. I can't say anything extra that the others have said. You're running, you're off the coach and with every step you are improving your health. Fab stuff!

Not what you're looking for?
