The last time I did any serious exercise was 25 ish years ago when I was still in the Army. Used to do 3 mile before breakfast every morning, plus all the usual training that goes with being a soldier. And now it's 25 years later at 51 years old and a truck driver who does around 350 mile a day but walks around 500 steps a day (so the iPhone app tells me) I decided yesterday morning that it was time to get a grip and start getting fit again. So turned to technology and found c25k. Read the bumf, joined the community. Read some of the posts you fine folks put up and that was the clincher.
Hit the town got trainers and a hiviz jacket and last night hit the road. Surprisingly this morning I can still walk!! I don't know where in the country I will be tomorrow but one thing is for sure I'll be doing W1R2 and I'm really looking forward to it.

It's never too late!!! 25 ish years ago I had a reasonably healthy lifestyle(not 3 miles a day) enjoyed tennis badminton and squash and was n't too bad at them lol. But illness different jobs and relocation with husband and kids gave me excuses not to be ! So here I am.I get a great deal of encouragement from reading how others with similar if not worse challenges to me still manage to fit in their run.It makes me believe as I started...it's never too late!So go for it...and post here so we can support cheer and yes commiserate!
Some of the places I go to deliver have fully a equipped gym so I can get in a cheeky wee work out at the same time. The only dilemma I've got is I work nights so can't decide weather to run in the morning before bed or when I get up?
