Interested to know your selection criteria. Have you been properly fitted for running shoes and thus know what to look for? Did you go for something similar to what you've already got? Did you go by reviews and what they said the shoes were good for? I bought some 'trail' shoes in an offer on amazon the other week, my PT thinks they're not so good for wet/muddy conditions though as lots of mesh on top... but isn't that exactly what trail running would involve? I'm just keeping them as spare normal running shoes for now, treads look good.
Anyways, your shoes look well nice, enjoy! x
Thanks MarlyParly. They are identical bar the colour to my existing shoes. I did a lot of googling and reading of reviews before buying them. The mesh on top is for running through puddles and mud and the grip is fantastic - the idea is that although your feet get soaked they dry very quickly is use Nike Drifit socks andhave never had a blister (touch wood). Quite a squelchy feeling when they have been in mud but it's not unpleasant and I'd rather have wet/dry feet with brilliant grip than do myself damage with dry slippy shoes

The trail shoe is designed to allow water to,pass straight through so you are not running with squelchy feet
