After not completing this run first thing yesterday morning (only did half of it) ... I couldn't help myself and decided to go and do it again... woo hoo... all done and probably one of my best runs so far! At the end of the run Laura (spoiler alert!!) suggests you give it some extra welly for the last minute... well I hit the start of an uphill gradient which I ran up. My pace was slow... but i'm running!!
Lessons learnt (for me anyway) -
- Start off and continue with a nice slow steady pace
- I'm better at running in the afternoon / evening
- Get some fuel on board (bacon bap and a banana did for me today )
- Trust the program and continue to get inspiration from others on this site
Sorry to ramble on... just feeling good right now and i'm on my own and wanted to share.
Looking forward to the next run

Good for you - you should feel pleased with yourself
Sounds like you're in a good place to carry on to the end. And yes, this is a great place to get help/inspiration/motivation/advice etc and sound off and generally share all things C25K.
Good luck with the remaining runs - you'll have your graduate badge in no time.
Well done- you must be so pleased- and rightly so. I too am much better at running in the afternoon/evening. W 7 R1 will be a day late for me tomorrow-a Sunday of 'mum's taxi chores and eating far too much roast dinner to contemplate running this evening. Roll on tomorrow though!
Thanks everyone... Bought some new long sleeve running tops as its getting a bit chilly... so cant waste those!!
Top man Andy , really well done knew you would do it You should be mighty chuffed what works for you works for you hope this bliddy weather is better tomorrow for my R1
Thanks Rob... I'm sure that your run tomorrow will also be a success! As time goes on in this program you certainly get to know your own do's and don'ts and what works best for you.. shame these lessons are sometimes learnt following an incomplete run. Its good how one successful run can reset your confidence in yourself.
I'm due out again tomorrow.. but this weather could be problem... don't mind going out if its just drizzling, but think I would skip it if it was ****ing down!!
Did I just suggest that I went out running in the chilli semi dark in some light rain... addict alert !!!
