Second Parkrun today - 31 mins 21 secs.

An improvement from my first Parkrun (and graduation run!) of 32 mins 2 secs.

Any tips on getting this to 30 mins? Got a 10k in November which I'm going to start training for in September and dream of a 60 min run!!!

Try the speed podcast and at the same time start increasing one run a week to longer....you will soon see an improvement :)

Pretty much what I was going to say. I think the stamina podcast is also helpful. And don't forget to limit your increases to 10% (time or distance, it doesn't really matter), but do NOT run flat out on your longer runs. You should be able to talk while you're running, which is what is known as an "easy" pace.

Really good time, you should be pleased. I hit 33 mins

on my last 5k with a big hill involved.

Training for the 10k should help with bringing your 5k times down, too. Start increasing your distance on a long run each week. I've been doing the same as I'm building up for my own 10k run at the end of August. Good luck :)
