If its loaded on the phone it will work, signal or no signal
Hi GJ, this may help. I think you may have a playlist on your phone, but the actual tracks are stored "in the cloud" or whatever we want to call it these days. If you are at home and the phone is connected perhaps by WiFi you'll not notice that the songs are getting played "over the air". But leave home, and have no signal and your phone won't find them. I'll gladly give you some more help if you can explain a bit more about "hates me" or "quits on me". Contact me via the Messaging feature if you want [envelope picture in green bar above].
First you should tell us what kind of phone you have! Then just accept that your mp3 player doesn't hate you. It's just a box with circuits and connections. If it's an ipod then don't hesitate to take it into an Apple Store. They have people who will help you out. You can book an appointment at their genius bar and don't worry, take my word for it, there are always plenty of real idiots there who make you look like an expert.
If the music is being played by spotify or similar you will need signal. If the music is stored on your phone, as in you had to transfer the mp3s files to memory on your phone you don't need signal.
I'm sure your MP3 player doesn't hate you.
What phone and what music app?
