I hope you didn't eat more than your fair share of the rations Doz!

There is a chance Nanna might have to go back to Poundland.

What are you guys on for goodness sake? Can't work you out at all! :)

We are a band of loyal brothers determined to get their CIC and other trainees through the enemy lines to the core of this nhs regime and blow it sky high to prove we will not be outdone or trampled underfoot by the system. (Followed by manic laughter.) As a graduate you have proved this possible by breaking through the frontline of their defences past their bluey-green front runner. CIC here made it to end of week 7 once but was struck down by double-vision - now stable and back in training. We have a Nanna and grandad who assist country-wide buying Jammie Dodgers and needing lottery tickets collecting. They help in all areas of the front line. We have no political/religious/interplanetary affiliation or rules for joining other than enjoyment and self-preservation. We bear no malice towards individual members of the nhs working community. Anyone can sign up as long as they don't mind a truly profound daily quote.

Hope that helps.

Oh Beek, I try to join in with this & every now & again you can persuade our Dozzer to tell us how his running is going & I think as this is his 2nd attempt we must do everything to keep him in the fight. (Although fighting the NHs seems very wrong but he means it in the right way- I think). Sometimes he completely loses me but I have been promoted to Captain so I'm certainly not complaining.

I have cake :D though I could barely manage a few chuncks of mango today - but march forth I did. The enemy beaten back for the day

dozzer19 profile image
dozzer19Graduate in reply to spoonierunning

Mango - well get you.

dozzer19 profile image
dozzer19Graduate

Nanna will love that - she likes a bargain. If grandad's lottery tickets ever come up maybe she'll upgrade to M&S.

You and portable lap harp have just got me through 6/2. We need all help available. A man needs more than a trusty steed to keep going.

I advanced slowly on the enemy last night for a reccy. Made a strategic withdrawal as I got cramp.

Morning Doz, you cant go out just yet.... Ive just seen your Nanna in the market, she wants you to go round to hers and help her unravel the jumper she was knitting for Grandad. She has purled one, where she should have knitted one, and shes made a right cods of it . Take some of that nice malt loaf she likes , because shes very upset . :-) xxx

dozzer19 profile image
dozzer19Graduate in reply to poppypug

Malt loaf! She expects us to get by on Poundland dodgers and wants malt loaf.

poppypug profile image
poppypugGraduate in reply to dozzer19

Ah well that's Nanna's for you. Don't get her started on the blancmange though, you know what she's like :-) xxx

Blancmange? Surely no one likes blancmange!

I made two malt loaves. They are huge! Just like that bread Barbara Goode made. They will feed us for weeks if we ration them carefully. They have real ale and malt in them to make us strong. The enemy has none so we have the advantage! Ha ha. Have at you varlet!!!!

We will drive coach and horses through defences. Line up behind me brave knights, we go in at dusk. (Bring the ob nobs for the foot soldiers)

dozzer19 profile image
dozzer19Graduate in reply to misswobble

Ale and malt - mmm, getting closer. Dusk appears, shields and swords at the ready - make Theoden proud, my sons!

You guys are silly.

Also, malt load is one of those mysterious (to this American) British packaged foods that some love, some hate, and I am perplexed by. I didnt know one could make them, i thought they only came out of factories!

Tomorrow, i run.

dozzer19 profile image

Go for Soreen with butter - great for energy!

Oh no, not at all. I am a marmite on toast convert. I have promised an Australian friend i will try vegemite though.

dozzer19 profile image
dozzer19Graduate in reply to Nilzed

I have tried Marmite chocolate. - it's unusual. Possibly good for troops strength.

The greatest thing about malt loaf is the way it sticks in your teeth, like, forever. So when you're out on a run and in need of a sugary energy boost, there it is, lodged behind a molar. The gift that keeps on giving. PS yes you guys ARE silly.

dozzer19 profile image
dozzer19Graduate in reply to TurboTortoise

Don't be mean. We're chipper and up for the fight for the common good.

TurboTortoise profile image
TurboTortoiseGraduate in reply to dozzer19

Silly in a surreal and endearing way! I really do like malt loaf, it's just the extensive flossing afterwards...

Yeah ! ( blows raspberry ) :-) xxx

dozzer19 profile image
dozzer19Graduate in reply to poppypug

Oh I reckon we may have a convert there. Anyone who thinks we're silly has to be one of us - unless silly has a different meaning in the US.

Beek profile image
BeekGraduate

I think you are all silly. You made me laugh this morning which is great. I should be out attending to the new queen bees this morning but it's raining so can't do that. BUT - how does raw honey sound? Many uses apart from sustenance. And I am starting a new vat of mead later today. Takes years to mature and last years tastes like paint stripper - have you a use for that maybe? Tell you what - I'll do a swap. 2 slices of Soreen (yum) in return for a whole Parsnip, honey and ginger cake. (Olde Elizabethan recipe and delish)

Oh - and Vegemite is no where near as good as Marmite! Sorry Oz.

I have no musical instruments but I can whistle through a blade of grass stretched between my thumbs.

Mead with parsnip, honey and ginger cake certainly sounds good.
