I've just done my first ever run on a treadmill in our hotel I thought I'd do it now so I won't have to get up early in the morning before sun comes out . What speed is ok I hadn't a clue so I kept it at 8.5 is that about right ?

Treadmill

Ey up! Hope the holiday's going fab Rockette! Treadmill ! No idea, never bin on one! LOL
Start at the slowest and work up from there. Don't go mad as I hear that they dump folks in heaps.

Hello Rockette. 8.5 sounds good, whatever feels right for you.
I did 6.5 walking and 8.2 running but on an incline of .50. That was hard enough for me! Do you run with a playlist? I found this so much better as I could zone out with the music. Running on a treadmill is good mental stamina too! All the best.

I used to use the treadmill when I was a member of a gym but that many years ago so I won't advise on speed as speed is a personal thing. I would say that if you're new to a treadmill, rather than set the treadmill to a program (hills / interval etc) set it to manual & you can increase the speed slowly to what feels comfortable to you. Another tip is to set the incline to either 0.5 or 1.0 to stimulate running outside - this is why people who run regularly on treadmills find it a hard transition when they first run outside. Enjoy your hols!

Sorry no idea just wanted to wish you happy holiday
