Yesterday I splashed out on some supports for my trainers and a Forerunner 10 and promised to report back after today's run.
Well first neither make you run any faster or further.
The trainers didn't feel much different to be honest. The only difference was at about 2.5/3 km my left knee started to talk to me. I ignored it and carried on and it stopped. I don't know if that was because my foot was being made to run differently, or it would have happened anyway.
The watch does make it easier to work out how far you have gone and is very clear to see. I had time and distance as my viewing choice. I also used the Nike+ app and I must say the watch is super accurate in comparison. I actually stopped for about five seconds at one one point and the watch recorded the stop; the Nike+ app didn't.
In conclusion, I will probably have to run a few times with the supports to notice any difference. I would recommend the watch to anyone wanting to splash out after graduation; I felt encouraged to see the kilometres increasing.
