You do what suits you Mrs B.. I run about an hour to 90 minutes after a meal to make sure it's gone down or I get indigestion.

Is seems to vary from person to person. I feel sluggish if I try to run within several hours of a meal (even a light one), but know others that can head out not long after eating.

I eat when I come in. I can't run if I've eaten anything beforehand.

When you have a dog you have to go out in the dark whether you want to or not don't you. You'll have to feed him 60 - 90 mins before a run as well so he/she doesn't get indigestion too. LOL

Hmmmm - mostly I eat after an evening run. Although I have eaten beforehand & I'm not too bad. I must admit I prefer to eat when I get back (mostly cos I'm starving - ha ha!!!)

Personally I just have a banana an hour before, but it is down to individuals.

I prefer after , it's a personal thing I think , eating before makes me feel tired & heavy .

I can't eat before a run whatever time of day. I feel really heavy and sluggish and usually get indigestion. It's an individual thing though x

I eat before; I am famished when I come in from work and a banana just doesn't cut it! I'd eat a fairly big meal no fewer than 90 minutes before a run though; just to let the food get down. If I didn't eat before I ran, I'd feel faint and be distracted by my stomach rumbling! Everyone is different though, as you can see from the above posts.

I'm similar to Newbie, I have to eat beforehand. If I go too long without food I tend to get migraines. So how long I wait before running depends on how much I've eaten. Generally I can manage to run an hour after my full evening meal. It's probably a bit individual though. It might be a try it & see sort of thing.
