I've just completed Run 2 Week 2 of the programme, in the rain!!! Wish I had started this programme a long time ago!

Good luck with the programme Hopefully we'll both graduate in the not too distant future !!

Good luck to you too! Did you go out every other day or every 2 days?

I go tues and thurs mornings in the week, then either a Sat or Sun morning at the weekend so i get at least one rest day in between. I'm finding its helping me to fix the days so I know that time is "me" time. But it is only week 2!!

I think if I aim to do a Mon, Wed, Fri ... That way I'll keep the weekends free for hubs & kids! I really hope to stick to it! Let me know how week 2 goes!

Sounds like a good plan! Good Luck with the rest of week one. I definitely felt a real sense of achievement completing it and am determined to do my best to complete the full 9 weeks ( ...fingers crossed!). Keep me posted how you get along too!

Hi I am on Wk2r2 tomorrow. I too decided to run Mon/Wed/Fri for that same reason. I have to admit I did do Wk1 twice as the first time round I was a mess. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Good Luck for tmro - hope the weather is kind to you. It was raining for mine this morning but i pushed myself to get out there. Hoping i can stay this enthusiastic for the whole 9 weeks!!

So far I have missed the rain every time but I do wonder if I too can push myself to go out when it does rain. You sound like you definitely got the motivation which I think is half the battle!

Nooooo I hope it doesn't rain! That really will test us! If I have to repeat a week I will, but I'm hoping to plough on.... Do you stretch? I haven't a clue how but it seems to be encouraged, or is that further on in say week 5 or more?

Well done all for starting the programme, it is fantastic and you can get so many benefits from it. I would say its never too early to stretch. I love running in the rain, as long as the wind isn't hammering it into my face I just get out and embrace it, and it keeps me cool! Just go for it, keep posting and let us all know how you get on. x

Yes I stretch even though the podcast states the walking is the 'warm up'. It looks as if I am due rain later on this afternoon for my run. What should I wear?

I've not done any stretches yet, but will I think when I start week 2. My legs felt heavy today so I'm guessing tomorrow's gonna ache! I hope the rain keeps off for you x

Thankfully it was only light rain. I think I need to get back with my stretches as I have not done any for the last 2 runs and now have a pain on the top of my hip! Did you find any specific runner stretches?

I was given this site for stretches.... I've not done any yet... Will probably start them on wk 2 .... If ... When I get there

Thanks, that's reassuring I have already been doing half of them! Should have stuck at it and then maybe I would not have this pain. Never mind I know now for the future.

I tend to do Mon, Wed, Fri for two reasons. One, gives me a bit of leeway if I can't do a run on one of those days and, two, I find a 2 day break over the weekend sets me up for moving on to the next week. Rnjoy the programme. Best wishes.

p.s. forgot to mention - yes, as far as I am concerned it does constitute a routine. Good luck to you as well. Best wishes.
