Is It o.k to do some days on treadmill in gym and some outside? Or is it best to stick to one or the other?

I don't know the correct answer but I would go with what you feel like doing. I opted for the gym today because I didn't fancy battling 20mph gusts. Did it but much prefer outside, even if it is in the dark.

It's best to do something is probably the correct answer - if it gets your heart rate up, it's good for you ;-)

I always regret not mixing up my running and only ever ran outside. I now find using my pet name 'dreadmills' quite difficult. So in answer to your question, variety can only be good. Happy running :) where ever you do it.

I always run outside for the simple reasons that, a) I cannot afford a gym and b) I have no room for a treadmill in my home (I live on a narrow boat). When I first started exercising I lived in a house and had plenty of room for a small treadmill and an exercise bike. It was very useful in bad weather. As I now have no space for either then I must just get outside and do what needs to be done. Thankfully, I do have just enough room to do my keep fit and Pilates on the boat. Good luck with your mixed method runs - I agree entirely with Oldgirl. Best wishes.

Personally i mix it up as i cheap gym membership as am a student but for the longer runs it is nice to get outside for some variety. Also getting braver every time and increasing the distance i go from my house. Buuut with the current weather -rain and wind sometimes the gym is nice to theoretically stay dry but i just work up a sweat instead. Go with how you feel but as crox said... running anywhere is better than nothing :) happy running
