I'm trying to loose weight and I was just wond... - Couch to 5K
I'm trying to loose weight and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for sticking to it im almost twelve stone and only small
The easy answer is to eat less but move more. The Couch25k running programme would be a good place to start. There is a weight loss programme here too I think. I feel sure I've seen it as I've been browsing. Obviously if you eat healthily, and drink only in moderation, get some exercise then the weight will shift. You have to make it happen though and it does require something from you in the way of commitment to get the weight off.
Hi. My "vital" statistics are the same as yours, but I am nearly 62, and a smoker
I have joined Slimming World Online as I live abroad, and am starting C25K................but slowly.
I think the key to both is not to expect instant results, and to be patient with yourself.
Set yourself realistic and achievable goals, trying to do too much too soon can be very unmotivating. Remember any changes you make need to be for life!
You'll find some great help and advice over at the weight loss community healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... supporting the NHS 12 week lose weight program nhs.uk/livewell/weight-loss...
Good Luck
Are you still breast feeding?
If not then aiming to reduce your calorie intake by about 300-400kcal by doing "swaps" of higher calorie foods and by reducing portions. Start with a food diary
have you tried the my fitness pal app? its really great to help you set goals and keep track of calories.
I've lost 3.5 stones on the 5:2 diet. It's brilliant; the only diet Ive ever been able to stick to. Google it to find out all about it.
I did C25K before and did lose some weight but this time I'm combining it with Weight Watchers and doing both with a friend so we are keeping each other going
