I think this suits me better than going at 5am before work , because tonight my knees where no where near as sore . Could it be that they are more warmed up ? In fact , I was virtually pain free . I'm so bloody pleased with myself and Am totally hooked with this running lark , bring on wk 5 !

Yes! Completed wk 4 bring on wk 5 . Can't wai.t to start it weds. I usually do early morning runs , but did it at 8pm after work
Rockette, your enthusiasm shines through massively. Well done and keep it up, you'll be running longer and further before you know it. If you maintain your positive mindframe you will certainly be successful! M
I always run later in the day. My earliest is a weekend when I might go late morning. Each time I've tried to run very early, I've badly pulled a calf muscle. I'm done both calves over the past year, so I'm sticking to later. Good luck with the rest of the programme
Thanks for replys , yes earl grey , def noticed , it was a better run doing it late on so will now stick to it . Thanks for to you both for your words of encouragement .
Go Rockette girl, go! Hope I feel like you at the end of Week 4! I'm struggling with my mindset after my first run yesterday! How are you getting on with running in the dark? That's ahead for all of us soon - after we've put the clocks back it'll be just around the corner.
I found it o.k ,my hubby not keen on me running around in the dark ( as he calls it ) but I've no option when I'm working , be it early morning or night . Just keep to well lit areas . I'm lucky really because where I live it's quite busy at night wi shops n pub on corner open and also a few runners about as well . We live Nr playing fields so a lot run round there . Good luck jenwrenarm , we will do it ! .
