OK so after a few days off for a family wedding, I completed W5 R1 tonight. First time I've donned the running jacket and ran in the rain - that was fine (once you're wet, you're wet, right?) but it was the wind that I REALLY struggled with, rather than the running itself. My hands were freezing (I'm contemplating gloves next run) and I must've run sideways more than I did forwards in the wind! Any tips out there on coping with the wind?

Running in the wind and the rain...
Had the same problem this afternoon. Felt I'd run twice the distance and discovered a new shade of red as my face was burning so much. Felt great afterwards .
All you can do is try to keep warm and dry, or one of the two. I plumped for warm today with a long sleeved top and gloves from Lidl. A hat would have been useful , but I've still not found one I like.
I find the wind so tiring but haven't had to face wind AND rain at the same time yet. Gonna happen very soon though... I can see how it must get you really cold, I found my hands very cold the other day and it wasn't raining, gloves definitely sound like a good idea. I also find that since the weather has turned I still get hot and sweaty after getting back but very soon after get the chills and start shivering. Seems important to wrap up quickly after you get back from your run/ have a hot shower.
