Tomorrow I’m due to do W4R2. It’s important for me to achieve it - R1 was tough but I blooming DID IT! I am NOT giving up. But. Looking at the weather for tomorrow morning ... 😞 Will I feel worse battling it in the rain and wind or worse if I don’t go? Help!

Thank you! I want to believe the wind won’t blow me over or the rain make my legs go to jelly. Can you promise I will be ok, can you, please?! 🤦‍♀️

You’ll be ok, you’ll be strong and determined and you’ll smash it tomorrow, actually I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be your best run yet 👍🏃‍♀️

I soooo want to believe you 😃

I say you should just give it a go!! As couchphoenix says it will be lovely to reward yourself with a nice hot shower/bath when you get back!! I’ve ran in the rain a few times and I actually don’t mind it, I tend to warm up quite quickly too so it’s not too bad! Is it raining all day? Or will you be able to have one in the evening?

If the roads are starting to flood due to a deluge and it's overflowing house gutters, it's probably wise not to go out today.

Light rain's not a problem, though.

I have to go in the mornings when I get up or I will make an excuse not to go!

I am in the middle of countryside so there are known places that flood, I can avoid them!

A rain shower? Go running! A storm? Perhaps play it safe and delay it by a day.

Ultimately it's about safety. My rule is if the risk of accident, injury or illness more significant than the likely benefit of going for a run, then don't I go out. Exactly the same applies to very hot or very cold weather, or running with plain shoes on icy pavements, or when the terrain is muddy. Stubbornly pushing through dangerous conditions just to be able to say 'I did a run!' is never worth the risk of breaking my ankle!

All that said, I absolutely love running in the rain! It's unbelievably refreshing, and getting dry and warm afterwards is the best.

That is very sensible advice. I am pretty sure the NHS don’t need me getting in their way right now!!

If it safe, ( no weather danger warnings) , and you feel like a bracing run... get out there... its just wet... take it steady... the wind will be in your face.. it always is :) Just enjoy and have a great warm shower afterwards!

I’m hoping the wind will be always behind and me not in my face 🤣 !

I do a circular route so......🤔 I might have to go half way round and come back!!!

It doesn't matter if it's in your face out...it always seems to be in your face on the return!😆

Yep! I think I’ve decided to go tomorrow! No ifs no buts, my running gear is warming on the radiator and my shoes are by the back door. Wish me luck! 🏃‍♀️

This morning the radar chart shows a conveyor belt of very heavy rain lined up to hit an area stretching from NW Wales to North Yorkshire, and it's relentless. No run for me today.

I was lucky enough to get outside before the rain was more than a small shower. And the wind was actually very nice!!
