Week 7, and now also swimming...

Went for my first proper swim in quite a few years yesterday and managed to very slowly crawl for 20 lengths, although BOY do my arms ache today. Surprisingly though my legs feel fine, so the running must be helping in that respect. My friend wants a weekly swimming buddy so hopefully it will get easier.

Last run of week 7 tonight but I've left a two day gap since the last run due to the swimming, so hoping that it's not going to be too much of a struggle!

And just to report that with the regular running plus a healthier diet (mainly reduced portion sizes, cutting down on sugar, more fruit, and no evening binge-eating - the hardest part) I have somehow managed to lose about 6 pounds. However I didn't start this to lose a lot of weight; for me it is more about feeling well and feeling fitter in myself, and I certainly do :)

I'm a 20 length swimmer too and believe I can thank the running for that. And I thank the swimming for reminding me how much more interesting running is!
