Today was my first run since I went on holiday. I packed my gear but it was soooo hot I decided that swimming and snorkelling would be adequate replacement exercise. I was wrong.
I began today telling myself that I would "listen to my body" and slow down if I needed to. I forgot about my inner competitive ego. I didn't slow down. I ran 5k as fast as I ever have. And now, I am sore, stiff and probably sofa bound for the rest of the day.
Oh we'll, on the bright side, I DID IT!
