Please get your act together -- meanwhile I feel like a complete idiot for replying to a post that was meant for someone else.

Just got 4 notifications for the same post from Pat (YES, FOUR, daren't check my mail in case there's a fifth) which I replied to (I know it's hot) but they weren't even meant for me :-(

Am about to give up. Shame as my 1st anniversary is coming up next week.

Don't give up Delia. We'd miss you. Keep on posting, even tho this version of the site is pants.

Send a message to Joel and he'll look into the problem for you

Wonder how many people who say the site owners should get their act together actually run their own sites to know what act it is they need to get together?? The site isn't that bad. In fact when it had the issues before I didn't think it was that awful.

without wanting to be a smart Alec, there are quite a few techies and site owners among the community. We do know how web sites should be run, and with the best will in the world, this isn't how a site should be run. There are still far too many problems - problems that should have been identified and fixed before the 'improved' site was released. In fact, these problems are symptomatic of a failure to undertake requirements analysis, data architecture design, definition of both functional and non-functional requirements. And let's not talk about a proper test plan.

Sorry if this comes over the wrong way - I guess it's aimed more at the site managers than you. But yes, some of us do know what acts need to be got together (sorry for that poor phraseology Prof Chiaro)

Well said and it needed to be said Malcolm. If anyone should know it's you!

Time to get your techie skills going again to create something so we can all be reunited again....missing all my old buddies and especially those from the challenge. How we gonna put another team together next March if we have all lost contact?! I so don't want that to happen.... :(

The only good thing is that HU are well aware of the fact that there SHOULD have been extensive testing! Doesn't help any of us now however! *sigh*

I think the multiple notification thing was a glitch that is now fixed...

Glad you responded Malcy. I was tempted to but know there are others like you better qualified than me. I feel a bit sorry for the front line people who are having to deal with the criticisms as I suspect they may have been aware that the site wasn't ready to go live.

I've some across this site which seems to sit behind some of the NHS Choices and also has gone very quiet in the last few week. There are some techie bits which might mean more to you.

Malcy, did you see the question about 'double' replies that I put up yesterday?

healthunlocked.com/!/#couch...

It's still the same, sometimes the 'edit' box is open under the post itself giving me and anyone else who's in the same situation the opportunity to CHANGE other people's replies???? (Firefox)

What's happening there?? It makes me feel really inconfident in the entire site atm, I've deleted a lot of the replies I've written over the past couple of weeks.

As far as I can see it isn't a 'stable' problem - sometimes it's ok.

A few reassuring or explanatory words would be appreciated. How worried should we be? And maybe people who aren't on Firefox don't see the problem but their stuff is still affected.

Help!!

Ahhh, that's an issue with Firefox on here is it? How come it's random though? This set of posts hasn't got it but the last set I read did have.

Thanks for the message Malcy and you'll probably have seen that Carolyn from the thyroid forum admin assures us that the problem is not exactly sorted but at least being addressed and not personally damaging.

Which is a big relief! :-)

Hi Delia, I've only just found you again and seen your blogs - it hadn't helped that my PC is out of action so I'm stuck with the iPad and I'm travelling away from home too at the moment, but I really don't like the revamp. I've had only one e-mail notification listing two blogs only .... have other folk left in droves? I can't find things - nothing is logical or intuitive. Please, please don't leave ... we need to see our anniversaries through ... and to keep encouraging the newbies: as we were encouraged and supported.

And, I'll continue to blog! People making regular diary entries as they run towards 5k and beyond, exchanging views and sharing a collaborative space on the Internet are Bloggers ....... not fence builders or postmen!

Hang in there for a while longer - the navigation around here may become easier with use ..... mmmmm maybe??

Cheers, Linda :)

You can't leave Delia, its my 3rd anniversary at the end of August I need to know I'll be among old friends as well as new. Hang on in there they will get it all sorted it just may take a while. The other person to contact in the event of problems or queries is LoraHU, drop her a message and explain the issues, they do have things they are working through but we will at least assist them if they know the problems we are experiencing.

I feel the same.

Don't give up on us, we'd miss you. It'll probably get sorted - sometime. I haven't run for the last week and I think if I hadn't kept looking on here I might have just let it drift, so it does still have some purpose. Maybe you're more focused!!!!

I agree with everyone - this site is not fit for purpose any longer and the upgrade (ha if you can call it that) is a disaster. I am finding it more and more frustrating trying to navigate and keep in touch with everyone. Like Delia I am on the verge of giving it up. Rant over :(
