I graduated on Friday in the rain and today Monday, was supposed to be my first run as a graduate. However yesterday I came down with something awful and slept most of the day and now my body is just feeling awful. So upset as I haven't missed a run yet.
Did this happen to anyone else?

I think this is more likely to be one of the many nasty viruses that are going round this year, rather than a post grad c25k effect...
My grandson was ill last week when I was staying over after a small operation; he slept for 3 days,(so sneaked some lovely cuddles), he had some sickness and 24 hours of diarrhoea...then was fine; he kindly passed it on to me; I felt awful at work on my early shifts but got through with cold/flu tablets; slept all afternoon/evening after work, sore and achy; then after the second early was changing onto night; with no warning went into the 'non c25k 'runs' stage! I have not been so ill for years; but only lasted for about 10 hours. Struggled into work for night shift (asked for time off but was refused) but felt much better yesterday.
Missed two runs on my B210K plan so was annoyed, but today ventured out and did the planned run (6.45km) but was totally prepared to stop/walk if needed - managed to do it all at a slow and steady pace, so took advantage of looking at the wildlife and scenery!
Thanks! It is a horrible bug, hope to be back out running soon!
I think it is one of life's little curve balls. The day after buying my new running shoes I went down with an ear infection. I spent most of the next few days sleeping, as it also affected my balance. When I felt okay to restart the C25K programme I was being hampered by busybodies trying to put me off. By this morning I was climbing the walls so drove out a few miles and started the programme again along the canal towpath. I came home feeling clear headed and energised. Life hands us these setbacks but we can overcome them and enjoy our exercise. I hope you soon recover and are out running again. Best wishes.
That happened to me after week 1 I thought I had done some serious damage. After visit to the doc's I was told I was suffering from a flu virus (1/2 term holiday week of course) it took over a week to get rid of the feeling of fatigue. I have also had to use an inhaler as the virus has left me with inflammation of the airway. I am now near to week 3 completion. Hope you feel well soon.
