I have been doing a diet(slim-fast) alongside the couch to 5k, I have lost over 3 stone this year which is great. Does anyone know if a meal replacement diet makes the running harder and I should be eating something specific on run days, I have reached week 9 and am keen to build on my speed and fitness.

I'd be questioning if you're getting the right nutrient balance using a meal replacement system. I've been reducing my portion sizes (using hypnosis) and only eating when physically hungry, and that really seems to be working...
Well done on your fantastic weight loss so far! At some point you are going to have to return to eating 'normal' food, and this is where replacement diets tend to fail;there is often an unfortunate tendency for the weight to pile straight back on (and some) because healthy eating habits and portion sizes havent become part of the routine as yet. It might be an idea to try something like weightwatchers from now on to maintain your weight loss (and help you lose more if you need to) because their plan can fit in with 'normal' life, and will certainly allow you to continue running. Good luck!
Completely agree with above or use fitnesspal which works online but is best if you can get the app because then it's always which you it tells you how many cals YOU should be eating then lets you keep track
If it is easier to maintain diet discipline by using meal replacement shakes, have you thought about making fresh smoothies instead? You could easily calculate an equivalent macro nutrient content and the nutritional value would be far better. Something simple like bananas (must be ripe) and some berries (raspberries are nice) whizzed up with a hand blender is awfully tasty. You could add baby spinach leaves to really pump up the mineral content....... just a thought.
Sorry - I meant to say jolly well done! Wish I was at w9!
Oh well done you, keep it up that's brilliant weight loss so far x
