Week 7 and painful right knee

Managed to make it to week 7 without any hiccups. Did run 2 this morning and now my right knee is hurting. I do the proper warm up walk and stretch after the run. I take the recommended rest day in between and I have gait analysed trainers, so why is the knee hurting?

Maybe you just landed a bit awkwardly at some point without even realizing at the time. You need to RICE it now but I expect you are already - and give it time to settle down before you run again. (I ignored this very good advice when I had a wonky knee last Nov and ended up needing 2 months+ off so be careful!)

If it doesn't get better you could try a foam roller and/or a sports physio - but chances are you'll be fine. Good luck! :-)
