Do better blockers work by helping us bresth easier and slowing a racing heart down ? I've been given ( to start tomorrow) only q25mg which I'm assured is a small dose with yhe option of going to 250mg daily if 125mg is?insufficient.
Anyone on these please .thank yiu dave

Hi, I have copd and was put on atenolol for a few years because of high blood pressure. When I saw a different doctor they took me straight off them and I was told atenolol had the opposite effect to ventolin. They were actually restricting my breathing. Now on losartan potassium. Please be careful. 😉👍
I have just been given a calcium blocker for high BP and a beta blocker for my heart as my recent ekg was abnormal. So I’m assuming they dilate arteries, thin blood??? Who knows if down the road I’ll need angioplasty…
The sheer monotony of this illness is getting so boring it's like an annoying child that isn't under your control and is always screaming for attention lol .Hope your breathing well today .
It is. Didn’t even bother me when the results came back. I’m to go in this Friday & have my BP checked I guess to see if the new med is working. Of course that was before my ekg came back abnormal with anterior ischemia. It showed up Sunday on my chart automated. My primary hasn’t seen that yet. I just don’t really care at this point. I’m tired of being concerned over everything. Non of us are going to live forever anyway!!
I can understand your attitude towards this blight(lol) we put so much time and effort into it with it seems little return or none for our efforts, it would be nice to have a holiday from these problems but unfortunately we can't. Good luck with your upcoming appointment.as usual breath easy dave.
