I have been diagnosed with Hyperinflated lungs and I am exhausted most of the time. Is this normal?

hyperinflated lungs
Hyperinflated lungs are larger-than-normal lungs as a result of trapped air. It happens when you can’t exhale, or push out all of the air that’s in your lungs. The air gets trapped and takes up space, which can make it harder to get fresh air into your body. This is quite common with those living with COPD.Your lungs try to fix this by taking in more and more air. This overinflates, or “hyperinflates,” your lung tissue and makes it less stretchy over time.
Imagine an old balloon that has been blown up over and over. It becomes much less elastic. If you blow up a new balloon and let go of it, it "whooshes" around the room as the air is pushed out. An older balloon when released simply "thwups" around a little and just falls to the floor since it has lost its elasticity.
Hope this helps.

You could try posting at this site as there are many more members there and it is also COPD and lung related.
Yes, I have the same issue. I do diaphragm excercises to strengthen the lungs.....breathe in through your nose, hold for 2 counts, blow out through pursed lips for 4 count. I do this 4-5 times per day. Hope this helps
