My partner went into the hospital 2 days ago because s he was having a hard time breathing. On admission, they found fluid around the lungs. They have been giving her diuretic IV. I just spoke with her nurse he said there was still fluid around the lungs they are giving her an x-ray tomorrow to see if that has diminished, if not are going to drain the fluid. Is this a common occurrence with COPD? If I get a chance to talk with a doctor what questions should I ask?
