Detoxing off steroid inhaler... Fostair?! Anybody had experience of this?

Hi All,

Does anyone have any experience of coming off steroid inhalers particularly fostair, it didn't agree with me at all, so had to come off it after taking doses for 2 days, but breathing has become quite difficult, which it wasn't when I went on it and I just used to take the blue ventolin inhaler every 3-4 days! Wish I'd have stayed on that and never tried this one!

Anybody detoxed off it and had a few dizzy spells and hard to breathe? I think I may just need to get it out of my system but don't know how long that will be... It's been 2 days off so far... I seem to have issues from ribs area, top of lungs seem fine, anybody had this??

Are you still using your rescue inhaler? That might help with your breathing. Vetolin can be used every 4 hours. I am on that, and 2 steroid inhalers. Ribs hurting? Yes I have that too. COPD is not fun, sorry your new inhaler did not work. Maybe a different brand. I am on Symbicort and Incruse. Good luck.

Hi Cko3

Thanks for your response.

I don't even know if I've got COPD though, what are your symptoms please when it started off were you clearing your throat, did you get back pain at all? Wheezing? Hard to exhale or inhale? Breathlessness? And when? Please tell me as much as possible if you can, I think I may just have asthma... But no tests available as yet so think they stuck me on inhalers just in case?!
