New diagnosis

Hi new to the site recently diagnosed with emphysema....after 6 months of cheast tightness after effects of covid 19.

Hi, Trujillo, I also have emphysema/chronic bronchitis. Hope your doc has prescribed some meds to help your condition? Also there are good breathing exercises available on UTUBE to help increase air flow.

Hi Trujillo, and welcome. I was diagnosed with emphysema 7 years ago. I agree with FlowerPreciousLover, breathing exercises should help with lung function, and get on meds.

hi can you tell me what meds your on i got copd ,emphysema for 5 yrs now but never been given any meds or even asked ,,

I am on Flovent inhaler 2 puffs, twice a day, and Albuterol as my rescue inhaler. I have recently learned that my inhaler is for asthma not for emphysema, so at my next drs visit I am going to request he switch me to Breztri. I also take a multi vitamin , and vitamin D. The inhalers are supposed to help keep your lungs open.Your doctor should put you on the medication he thinks will work best for you.
