COPD

Hi Antish30,
I have COPD also as do many lovely people on here.
I’m sure you’ll find all the support, and hopefully some of the advice you need.
All the best
Lynne 😊
I have copd i have had it for 10 years
Welcome ANTISH30 I've had COPD for 5 years, I am lucky in that I have a good support team at my GP's, and my COPD hasn't worsened much in that time. My last chest infection was over 2 years ago. I'm sure you will find all the support and advice on here.

Glad to have you here! Dont't be afraid to ask questions. Just know that we aren't doctors, but mostly patients such as yourself.
Welcome ANTISH30. I was diagnosed with COPD (emphysema) 7 years ago. I have also had lung cancer twice. You have come to the right place for information and support.
Hi Antish30, I’ve been diagnosed with emphysema since June. Welcome
Hi I was diagnosed Bronchiectasis and mild emphysema 2 weeks ago, after a lung infection for 4 weeks. What a shock! CTScan ruled out cancer (I've had pelvic type Ca).
Just finished 4wks antibiotics and now have to keep supply in case of flare ups.
Most difficult is getting an appt at hospital for chronic cough.
I'm finding this site such a help. There's also other threads for Bronchiectasis etc.
Take care.
Hullo Greenfingers20 and Hometeam2016.You've had a shock, but hopefully you will soon feel the support of a good medical team. I don't know where you live, but in the UK I think most if not all surgeries have a specialist nurse/clinic. In time, you will be able in great part to manage this chronic condition yourself. I deserve to have COPD because I smoked. And I was a nurse. We 'all' smoked, nurses & docs alike. One bombastic, though v brilliant, Consultant was even known to occasionally light up his big fat cigar in clinic! Yes, I'm talking of the Dark Ages. Hopefully.
All the very best ❤️
Thanks. Despite being in London my GP seems to do minimum and 'breatheeasy group' is too far away. But self managing with emergency antibiotics at the moment. Thanks your support.
