Birthday wishes

Sorry guys just a rant. I was 65 yesterday and could have had quite a nice day. My Daughter sent me flowers which arrived on Saturday morning, I finally managed to put them in a vase about 11.30pm. My son lives here by the way. Sunday arrives, the actual day. Not a Happy Birthday from him when I manage to get downstairs. Just anger because he had to get the shopping and someone was rude to him. Consequently he has sucked all the joy out of the rest of my day, even though my nephew who lives with us gave me some lovely, funny presents. The sooner he's back at work the better for me, as he's pulling me down. My friend dropped off some more flowers for me and that just made him more angry. I've just put them in water in a measuring jug because I can't get a vase, so more anger to look forward to tomorrow. Can't wait to get up.

I know it’s tough but try to focus on the positive people in your life who made an effort to give you a lovely birthday and ignore his negativity. Difficult to do when you share a home but at least you’re lucky enough to also have your thoughtful nephew there as well. Belated happy birthday for yesterday and hope you have a better day today. 🥳😘

I can totally relate, Patsyann24! My Son lives in my basement apt., and hasn't worked for years....I had a birthday recently, too..not one word to me. They just don't make them like they used to in my opinion. I would kick him out, but he's on disability so he doesn't have enough $$ to live anywhere else, I guess. It is what it is...I really could care less anymore....he'll be sorry when I'm gone....maybe?

That probably depends on what happens to the house. My son gets mine when I'm gone so I intend to hang on for as long as possible 😁

Oh...mine, too, Patsyann24...he gets everything. I thought about leaving everything to my nephew...but just can't make myself do that...HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!
