Good morning Pam. I agree with you that we're all learning, that it's good to be alive & that God is good. I'm sorry you've been going through this. I hope you have a good pulmonary doctor who will treat you with what's helpful to you.
I'm hoping you're not smoking & that you're walking daily & drinking a lot of water. I've come to realize that we can do what we can to improve our health, rely on our doctor's treatment & trust God for the rest. I hope you get rest & feel better. God bless, Terri

Hi Pam so sorry to hear that you've been having such a rough time lately. I had a similar thing happen to me back in December and also ended up being told I was a carbon dioxide retainer. I'd never heard of it until then even though I'd had COPD for years. I was put on low flow oxygen only 0.5 litres and it helps a little although I still get very short of breath. My physio told me to "breathe oblongs " breathe in through the nose to a count of 2 and breathe out ,pursed lips, to a count of 4. If I'm short of breath I find this helps so maybe it will help you too 🙂 be happy, be as healthy and as active as you can be and feel blessed for every God given day 🙂
When I do things outside when it's warm I sweat profusely from my head to the point I'm wiping sweat out of my eyes as much as I am working. If I continue this for very long I get starting getting dizzy like when you stand up to quick but I haven't just stood up and I have to lean on something and breath for a few minutes before it goes away as I feel like I'm going to faint. If I continue to try to do something it returns immediately so I go inside where the AC is on and the air is not humid. Also after I have gone that far I am done for the day. I feel exhausted and do not recover enough to go outside until the next day. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I don't feel out of breath just dizzy.
