Does anyone know if you can get pulmonary rehab like excersise in a gym I have just completed a pr course and would love to keep it up as I am still very short of breath I think that pr was definitely helpful I just need to continue for a lot longer I just don’t know where to go I would hate the taught of being refused if were to go to a gym silly I know but that’s me duff

just continue to do the exercises you learned at PR. be sure to use your pulse oximeter to stay in range. Clean the machines, lot's of germs floating around in there.
The hospital I did my pr at actually has an extended program so you can continue right there with full access to the special machines and the rehab therapists. They do a discounted rate - much discounted from what they charged the insurance company. I have been going to mine for over 4 years. Would not hurt to ask them. Although we all get gym membership free thru medicare - it is not the same workout and does not have the Nu step machines.

Some facilities offer phase 3 pulmonary Rehab. Such a program can be conducted in a gym that also offers regular gym memberships. Some programs might even supply oxygen. (Phase 3 PR programs usually have limited monitoring, but you usually have to supply your own O2.)
