I have noticed since being diagnosed with COPD and emphysema 10 years ago that the moons on my fingernails have disappeared has anyone else noticed such as saying it is my understanding it could be a lack of vitamin B 12 or thyroid Or pituitary problem but I'm wondering if it isn't somehow connected to the COPD and Emphasema

See a condition called "Terry's" nails. Perhaps this is what you are seeing?

me too plus they have lines in them, vertical. break off like mad but they always were thin, I take B12 shots once a month as i dont have the enzyme that helps to digest. doc acts like it's no big deal in the whole scheme of things....I think she's right. LOL.

My moons have disappeared also, but I can't say when as I hadn't noticed until I saw your post. Also I have the vertical lines in my nail beds. I have never brought any of these to the attention of my doctors.
