well im sat here looking at the sky and its getting black im a bit upset cos i was hoping to go to a car boot in the morning.i havnt been to one for well over 2 years and its just my look its gonna rain .just my luck.

Okay, I have to ask....what is a car boot? Where I am a car boot is when the put a lock on a car tire (a boot) so the car cannot be moved when the owner has unpaid tickets.

I went online to look it up and this is the definition - Car boot sales or boot fairs are a form of market in which private individuals come together to sell household and garden goods. They are popular in the United Kingdom, where they are often referred to simply as 'car boots'.

Well explained. So called because people sell used goods from their car boot (US - trunk = UK - boot).

Ah, I see. So it's kind of like what we call a flea market, except here we set up tables instead of selling directly from the trunk of the car. Thank you.
