I am looking at the limited options available for nonoperable stage 4 MSS colon cancer and I came across Intratumoral Immunotherapy which is a type of cancer treatment that involves injecting immunotherapy drugs directly into the tumor site.
Has anyone had this done before? Do you know a place that does it? Are there any off-label drugs that aid the process? I would really appreciate any insights you may have!
Thanks and good luck to all of you.

Thanks for posting with us. I hate to hear you are in this situation but love you are seeking answers and solutions that may be out there. I do not have any experience with this. I did do a clinical trial with the immunotherapy drug Opdivo and it was a game changer for me. Even that was a very targeted therapy looking for the MSI-h, dMMR patient.
First, have you deployed an AI therapy / clinical trial finder like:
Second, this is a very targeted approach and relatively new. There should be some clinical trials and perhaps you qualify for participation. Did you do the genetic testing and know your biomarkers ... yours and the tumor?
I do hope others on this site may have had an interaction with form of therapy. I do wish you the best and please keep us up on your progress.
I was diagnosed stage 4 colon cancer in 2012. I got genetic testing before I did my first chemo treatment. It showed I was MSI-h, dMMR, MLH1 gene issues. It showed I was hereditary, Lynch Syndrome. Everyone on my father's side of the family needed to get tested to see if they were also hereditary.
I did over 2 years of the chemo (folfox, folfiri) and the tumor did shrink some, but would always grow back. 2 years later in 2014, I am asked to do a clinical trial being MSI-h and having colon cancer. At that point in time, the immunotherapy drug was approved for certain lung and melanoma cancers. Evidently, my biomarkers were similar to those lung and melanoma patients that were gaining benefit from Opdivo. DNA sequencing and genomics were being deployed on a massive scale and it found additional biomarkers in the other cancers that matched mine. This is what's called a pan-cancer therapy. One therapy effective across several different tumor types.
It was a game changer because after the first dose of Opdivo, my next CT scan showed it shrank the tumor more than any of the other chemo treatments had accomplished over 2 years. This was result of triggering my immune system to recognize and attack the cancer. The risk was triggering my immune system may result in it attacking a healthy organ which may lead to death. I was on the trial for over 2 years. I had to stop because it did attack my duodenum which did result in my getting a stomach by-pass called a gastrojejunostomy.
Today I'm almost 13 years from diagnosis and 8 years NED.
I do wish you the best and please do let us know what you find out and how you are doing. I would love to hear about your interactions with the AI therapy and trial finders.
I followed a few cases at quora. One prof wrote about his cancer. He wrote about a few solution Suggested to him. He did the write choice I wish you good luck and hope you find the right protocol
