hello, would love some advice. Iāve been having rectal bleeding for a year now, but recently it got worse and itās been filling up the toilet. Iāve ignored it because Iāve had no other pain anywhere and Iāve felt relatively normal, but revelry Iāve had stomach pains and major issues with bloating. Would love some insight.

I was able to go to the doctors yesterday (November 30th), but no tests or examinations were done. I was sent home with Miralax and pretty much told the blood was normal. Mind you I have that much amount of blood every time I go to the bathroom .
Having blood in your stool is not normal you need to have some tests done stool samples blood test and maybe colonoscopy at the very least you should have been examined to see if itās haemorrhoids go back to doctors you have not been treated properly š¤
Hello my daugher is same age has you she just been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis she went to doctor first then they did a stool sample and was urgently referred for a colonoscopy i would go see someone soon
Thank you for posting with us. I hate to hear you're having these symptoms, but I have to admit you're getting a lot of good advice here already. I am glad to see you are not ignoring these symptoms. Anytime there is blood in the stool you need to know the reason for it. Not speculation, not a guess, not a try "this and see if it goes away". It needs an examination and it needs a diagnosis. I hope that your doctor is not treating you this way because you are young. Symptoms are symptoms and it doesn't matter the age.
Given what you've experienced so far, I think it's an excellent idea to try to find another doctor. The doctor you're seeing now is completely ignoring your symptoms. It is not normal. Unless it can be diagnosed externally, you will need a colonoscopy to find out what's going on. It may very well be internal hemorrhoids. But I do know when you're not being treated properly. Again, I say that any time there is blood in the stool you need to know the reason for it.
As you can see by some of your feedback here, this could be caused by many different things. Until you know exactly what the cause is, you'll just be speculating and that will increase your anxiety. If it is at all possible, please find a different doctor. It never hurts to get a second opinion. It is always beneficial to get good answers. And that's what you're after. Please keep pursuing that.
Also, please keep us up to speed as to what you find out. I think many reading this would not be happy about how you've been treated and the answers you've been given. Please keep pursuing those answers and we do wish you the best in getting them.ā¤ļøššŖšš

Thereās so many opinions on the look of it that I wouldnāt ask the internet. I would def go to the doctor and get a colonoscopy if itās been happening for a year. I saw blood in my stool in October and I instantly scheduled a colonoscopy. Found out it was colitis. Still waiting on the biopsy to come back to find out how they want to treat it. Anyway try not to google. Donāt listen to the fake internet doctors either lol. Go get checked and if your doc doesnāt take you serious lie and say you have a brother who has had colon cancer and theyāll get you in for a test asap. Worked for me. I saw blood and had a colonoscopy in less than a month
I am sorry you are going through this. I too have had the same problems. I've had 2 colonoscopy and endoscopy's done. One was a second opinion. Well the 2nd opinion Dr. Sided with the first Dr. Saying I have internal hemorrhoids. Well since my colonoscopy..i have started bleeding again..with blood clots too. It stopped but started again within a few months of colonoscopy and endoscopy. I did have a stomach polyp taken out ..but it doesn't answer why I'm still bleeding on and off. My stomach swells up so bad I can barely breath..my body has swelling and pain everywhere...ive got a lot of health issues. I even had 13 pictures of full bowls of blood in toilet with blood clots....but they didn't want to see them. They said they couldn't figure out the reason for my reported hematuria. So, I give up...im 53 in December..and am done being a ginny pig for these Drs. Anyways..good luck..i hope you have better luck than I did..God bless!
