poop concerns

Is this a concern when it comes to blood & mucus in poop. There’s no blood on my tissue or in water. These are different days within weeks apart. Sometimes stool is firm and sometimes soft and possibly this. Hoping its IBS and nothing else.

Thanks for posting with us. I hate you're experiencing this but it sounds like you're going to have this checked out?? Your doctor can run some tests and one of them might be A FIT test which could determine if that is indeed blood in the stool. Bottom line, you just need some good answers so you don't have to sit here and speculate as to what it may be or may not be. I am glad to see you're not ignoring it and you are seeking those answers. Also, you are absolutely correct as it could be a lot of different things that are causing this. You just need to have them narrow down. And it sounds like that's exactly what you're doing.

I do wish you the best in finding those answers. Please let us know what you find out as it is that type of information that can be helpful to others on this site as well. Another good thing to know is if there is any hereditary medical issues within your family. That's good information for your doctor to know as well. It could lead to some further testing.
