Poop looks different every day

Hi

Does anyone else go through times where their bowel movement looks different every day? Different shape, width, consistency with each bowel movement?

One day long, one day short, one day thinner, one day thicker. Some day softer consistency, other days more solid

Let me know if this is you. Thank you

Hi Catsandsunsets,

Thanks for posting with us. Mine could be all over the spectrum of what you are describing. I just started taking more fiber and I'm seeing some new changes. Changes for the better as for my case. I also note when I eat certain things in "excess"🤔 like spicy or too much peanut butter, I expect some changes. Not in a good way😁.

From what you are experiencing, can you note any changes in eating habits or anything you are doing different that would be the cause? To give you peace of mind, you could get a stool sample tested to see if there is anything going on that could be concerning.

I do wish you the best in finding out what the cause is for what you are experiencing. Maybe others on this site can give some insight on their experiences.

Thank you,

Thank you for sharing

Have you ever had it checked out to see why the bowel movement looks different every day?

Does it happen to you all the time or when you are stressed?

I’m not too sure yet, I’ve got a blood test next week but they’re suspecting colitis

Hi Medifood d thank you for sharing. Have you been to a GI? Had a colonoscopy?

My last colonoscopy was in year 2019. Anyway our poop can be different if shapes depends what we eat right? Sometimes I do hv runny stool, sometimes constipation. I suspect IBS.

I tend to eat roughly the same things every day, well, I believe most people do. But sometimes the stool varies in appearance...that's why I think it perhaps is influenced by stress, emotions, other factors besides diet

And I was wondering if others with IBS have experienced the same thing
